CP Policy
CHILD PROTECTION POLICY STATEMENT
Bridgwater Netball Club is committed to creating and maintaining the safest possible environment for children and young people to practise and play netball. The Club has achieved this by:
- Adopting the EN policy for Safeguarding & Protecting Young People.
- Ensuring that the lead Coaches are CRB checked and that other volunteers complete a self-disclosure form.
- Ensuring that all volunteers adhere to the Club’s code of conduct and take responsibility to prevent the abuse of children whilst in their care.
- Adopting child protection procedures, which ensure swift and appropriate responses to all allegations of abuse.
- Appointing two child protection officers who have specific responsibility for child safety and act as the main point of contact for parents, children and outside agencies.
- Ensuring that access to confidential information is restricted to the child protection officers or the appropriate external authorities.
- Annually reviewing the effectiveness of the CP policy.
