Girls Go to Malaga
9 members of Bridgwater Netball Club flew to sunny Malaga in October for a weekend away. The weekend was spent sunning themselves on the beach, shopping, swimming in the sea, playing games, drinking sangria and treating the locals to a display of neon clothing and accessories. The girls were certainly noticed as they hit the beachfront restaurants and bars.
A fantastic weekend was had by all … many thanks to our Club Captain for organising yet another memorable weekend away.

Nicola Retakes The Court
Bridgwater Netball Club player, Nicola Margetts, has made a remarkable return to competitive netball following an horrific head-on collision in August 2007. Despite sustaining dreadful injuries in the car crash; breaking many bones and requiring a rod to be inserted in her leg, Nic never gave up on her desire to play netball again. After several operations, Nic spent many months of rehabilitation, both in hospital and at home, enduring much physical pain in her endeavours to strengthen her body. It took nine long months of physiotherapy and self-determination before Nicola could walk unaided. Yet, just another year on, her fellow players are delighted to have her back playing for the Club.
Welcome back Nic – we admire your courage!
